Border Patrol Begins Construction on SBInet Technology on Northern Border

U.S. Border Patrol began construction 9/2/09 on the deployment of eleven Remote Video Surveillance Sites in Detroit as part of a CBP initiative to enhance the use of technology in securing the northern border against illegal cross-border activity. The Northern Border Project will provide surveillance capabilities using technology similar to what is in use in the southwest.
