AILA/VSC Liaison Practice Pointer: Requesting a Duplicate Approval Notice

The Vermont Service Center will issue a duplicate approval notice if the request is made within 30 days of the petition's approval. If the case was filed under premium processing, please call the VSC Premium Processing Unit. If the case was filed under regular processing, first call the National Customer Service (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. Thereafter, send a written request to the VSC at vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov

The request must be made within 30 days; therefore, do not wait too long to submit the request. If it has been more than 30 days since the petition was approved, VSC will require that you file Form I-824 for a duplicate copy.
